GPT-3, or Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3, is a piece of AI from the OpenAI group that takes text from the user, and writes a lot more for them.

And, freaking heck am I am impressed at what folks have managed to build around the GPT-3 technology.

At Axel Springer, Europe’s largest digital publishing house, we own a lot of news articles from various media outlets such as Welt, Bild, Business Insider and many more. Arguably, the most important part of a news article is its title, and it is not surprising that journalists tend to spend a fair amount of their time to come up with a good one. For this reason, it was an interesting research question for us at Axel Springer AI whether we could create an NLP model that generates quality headlines from Welt news articles (see Figure 1). This could, for example, serve our journalists as inspiration for creating SEO titles, which our journalists often don’t have time for (in fact we’re working together with our colleagues from SPRING and AWS on creating a SEO title generator).

In this task we will try our first approach at training a conversational model.

Federal public comment websites currently are unable to detect Deepfake Text once submitted. I created a computer program (a bot) that generated and submitted 1,001 deepfake comments regarding a Medicaid reform waiver to a federal public comment website, stopping submission when these comments comprised more than half of all submitted comments. I then formally withdrew the bot comments.

I recently wrote a Markov chain package which included a random text generator. The generated text is not very good.
