Inconsolation blog

"Adventures with lightweight and minimalist software for Linux". With 400+ tools reviewed so far, the Inconsolation blog contains the reviews of many command-line programs, with screenshots and animated GIFs. The style of presentation is ironic and funny. In some cases, it requires some effort to figure out the actual contribution of a program.

Some considerations

The Inconsolation blog contains short and often funny reviews of minimalistic programs. It is one of the major sources of inspiration for CLIpedia.

The updates of the blog stopped on 2015, thus many of the new programs that have been released after its activity was ceased are nowadays missing.

CLIpedia improves upon Inconsolation with a better categorization using tags, and a more modern style of the website, which is more adequate to make it suitable for the navigation from mobile devices.
