F-IND download page
F-IND is written in Java and we make available the full source code of the software package. A pre-compiled full-working version of F-IND is also available.

Install (binary version)
The binary version of F-IND is dedicated to people who only need to use F-IND to design new indices, without taking care of the internal behavior of F-IND.
To use the binary version of F-IND you must have the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed on your system. Installation instructions for the JRE are available at the same address.
Download the binary (executable) version of F-IND from the link above, and extract F-IND.jar. To run F-IND just double-click on F-IND.jar.
The F-IND framework will look for a text file named model.txt within the install directory. You can download an example model definition from the link above. Unzip the example model within the same install directory of F-IND.
