Deluge - Full-featured BitTorrent client
Deluge
is a cross-platform BitTorrent client with plenty of features and possibility to run in headless mode.
The features of Deluge
include the most common to any serious BitTorrent clients.
For example, it supports Protocol Encryption, DHT, Local Peer Discovery (LSD), Peer Exchange (PEX), UPnP, NAT-PMP, Proxy support, Web seeds, global and per-torrent speed limits.
An interesting characteristic of Deluge
is that it provides different "interfaces" to the same functionalities.
In fact, it can be used as a local desktop program, from a Web interface, and from the Terminal User Interface, which is the motivation for its inclusion in CLIpedia.
Furthermore, it can run in client-server mode. In particular, when run in Thinclient (headless) mode, the server can run remotely and the clients can connect from anywhere.
The program can be extended by plugins.
Some plugins currently available are reported in the following table taken from the Deluge
website.
