Enjoy the mysteries of the sea from the safety of your own terminal!

asciicquarium is an aquarium/sea animation in ASCII art.

The virtual acquarium/sea is populated by many different types of creatures and objects. This produces a relaxing and enjoyable colored animation. For this reasons, it represents an ideal animation as a screensaver

asciicquarium has been rewritten in C++ to run on Windows and other platforms.

Notes on the installation

Personally, not being a Perl master, I had some troubles in setting up the necessary dependencies to run the program, since it requires some modules (Term and Curses) that were not installed on my system.
